Performing a visual check
On the Claire app, receptionists have the possibility to perform a visual check.
Before starting a check you first have to open the work order. You can do this by clicking on the work order number that has one of the following statuses New car, Car check done or Visual check
When you have opened the work order, you have the available button with a Clipboard icon.
The button with the clipboard will give you access to checklist types Normal, Info, Warrany, Quality and Test Drive. Each type is available depending on your location settings and on the status of the appointment.
Visual check are only visible for receptionist in the Normal category.
Click one of the checklist listed for the check to start.
Car Brand categorie: If any of the checklist available is assigned to the brand of the vehicle, an additional category with a car icon is visible with the name of the brand below it.
After clicking on it, it will list the assigned checklist.
Note: The checklist will also remain available under its checklist type section.
Completing a Claire check:
- Green: It is fine.
- Green + addition (T): It is fine but you want to add text, photo or video.
- Orange: Advice point. It is not urgent but affects the driving behavior, comfort and safety of the car.
- Red: Necessary. It is irresponsible to continue driving or APK disapproval.
- Grey: This question is N/A
If a check is not fully completed, you will not be able to continue. In order to proceed, all points on the checklist must be checked and processed in the application. If one or more steps have been forgotten, this will be shown at the bottom of the screen.
Once the check is properly completed, click End Car Check and the following screen will be visible once the information has been successfully transferred.
Integration Desk Check-in
If your location have the
Desk Check-in module enabled, the checklist might give you an 4th option:
Check-in.
By clicking on it, the Desck Check-in module will load and you can then perform a check-in directly on the tablet.
Note: All check results will be visible on it. Once completed, you will return to the main page.
Once completed, the WO status will then be changed to Visual Check.
Using the camera function
Questions can have the function photo or video enabled.
Taking a photo
In order to take one or more photo, click on the following icon at the bottom of the question.
Updating the photo with a red circle
On any photo, you can then click the following pictogram and add one or more circles to point to its viewer where to pay attention.
Move the circle using one finger, to increase its size, simply put two fingers together on the screen and spread them apart. To reduce the size of the display, place your fingers apart and pinch them toward each other.

Taking a video
In order to take one or more video, click on the following icon at the bottom of the question.
The maximum duration for one video is 15 seconds.
Note: It is not possible to press pause while filming a video.
Deleting a picture or video
To delete a picture or video, click on the red trash can button in the corner of the image:
The following pop-up will appear, click Confirm to delete the photo or video.
If you do not remember where the car came from but you have already started the check, you can click on the button in the top right corner of the screen with the wrench on it. You will now see the job description. If you click on the same button again, you will return to the check.
